I don’ know about you, but we love a fun and interactive activity for Easter. We started a new tradition last year filling some of the eggs with hilarious and action packed ideas for the kids. The kids had a ball when they opened an egg that said, “Quack like a duck, or Sing the ABC’s or Do a somersault”!

We are so excited to be partnering with Horizon today to share a free printable for this fun Easter egg hunt activity.

Since Easter is normally associated with sugar highs, this year we are trying hard to keep the kids active and their snacks and treats less focused on sugar.

Make sure to check out all of our fun Easter craft and recipe ideas here! From decorating eggs with food coloring and rice for a cool speckled look to making Bunny Ear Cupcakes – we have you covered with Easter fun!

Easter Day Kids Activities

Do you have any special traditions to do with the kids on Easter Sunday? As kids we were so excited (at least my sister and I) to dress up for church. Some years as little girls we even had hats to go with our Easter dresses.

The Easter basket was so much fun to wake up to! We would all run down the stars into the living room to find what the Easter Bunny had left for us. Candy, little trinkets and toys and a new pair of pjs!

Then came the Easter Egg hunt! Some years it would rain and we would be running around the house trying to find all the eggs. Other years it was so much fun scouring the yard for eggs.

The joys of being a child on Easter Sunday! Our family would also make a special dessert, an Easter Bunny Cake! This is a wonderful recipe to make with the kids. You just need to bake two round cakes for this recipe.

What are some of your traditions? We would love to share, so comment below!

So after all of the candy from the cake and the Easter baskets, it is time for some parents to get their kids to run around a bit. This is where our Easter Egg Hunt free printable comes into play!
