DIY Foraged Holiday Wreath
Grab some shears, head outside and start foraging some greenery to make your very own DIY Foraged Holiday Wreath. We just adore making wreaths for the holidays. You only need a metal wreath form, floral wire and foraged (or store bought) greenery. This wreath is made with store bough Eucalyptus and foraged greenery from my yard. Now that I have a yard with shrubs, evergreens and huge trees – I can forage from my own yard instead of the community garden and parks in SF – ha! A few years ago I made a larger holiday wreath using fresh bay leaves and berries that I picked up at the SF Flower Mart. And this year I made a felt pedal and gold bell wreath.
We made a tutorial video for this DIY Foraged Holiday Wreath. It really is a simple project. You just need your supplies and patience! You can add berries, pine cones and even ribbon or lights to the wreath. Note that the eucalyptus will dry out quickly -s o if you do not like that look I would recommend not using it. I have also heard that you can spray the backside of wreath with water to keep the greenery fresh.
Take a look at the video we made using the Darby app. Enjoy!
