Free Printable Morning Checklist for Kids

Mornings with kids can be hectic, no matter the time of year. We’re sharing a few of our favorite ways to cut down on stress during the morning.
We’ve found that starting our day with an easy breakfast for the family helps set the tone for the morning. And when we say easy, we mean easy! Quaker Instant Oatmeal is a morning fave, especially the Maple & Brown Sugar flavor.
And we’re big cereal fans in our house. As the kiddos grow, it’s always one of the first autonomous meals they can fix themselves:, the classic bowl of cereal. Quaker Life breakfast cereal is on heavy rotation. My girls also love Tropicana 100% Pure Orange Juice, with no pulp of course.
You can shop for all these breakfast faves and more at the Safeway Anniversary Sale that runs from August 1st-14th. Head to your Safeway to stock up on easy breakfast items during their anniversary sale.
Making breakfast quick and easy gives me time to sit down and eat with the kids—and create a less hectic atmosphere!. Another tip for creating a less stressful morning is to make some morning playlists with your kids— songs that might be about the sunshine, for instance. Listen to the playlist during breakfast. Start the playlist with mellow music and add some more lively songs to initiate the “go and get dressed” time.
We’ve also designed a free printable Morning Checklist for Kids that will hopefully make your mornings a bit easier, too. Preschool-aged kiddos can really thrive when using a checklist like this. My youngest daughter, who’s in preschool, loves to check off this list each day. It gives her some independence and also reminds her of what she needs to get done each morning.
Download and print this free printable morning checklist, hang on your fridge or put in a frame and let your child check off the boxes each day with a dry erase marker. The to-dos on the list are achievable, such as eating breakfast, making your bed, brushing your teeth, and putting your shoes and jacket on.
Don’t forget to check out Safeway’s anniversary sale this August 1st-14th.
