You guys, this might be the most delicious Fall treat we have made this year! You have got to try our Instant Pot Pumpkin Butter Recipe. We made it in the Instant Pot but you can also use a slow cooker as well. This recipe is a spin on a traditional apple butter. We remember as kids going apple picking and our dad always getting a jar of apple butter (and a gallon of apple cider and can’t forget the fudge)!

Pumpkin Butter is delicious served with toast, scones and biscuits and if you live somewhere warm it makes the perfect topping for ice creams! The cinnamon and ginger with the pumpkin and apple is amazing. The pumpkin butter also makes a nice gift for neighbors, teachers and friends. 

If you do not have an Instant Pot, you can use a slow cooker and cook for 4 hours. If you are making in the stovetop cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hour. The result is pretty much the same with the 3 cooking methods.

We used apple cider in the recipe to keep things more Fall-inspired but you can use apple juice if you prefer! Same with the maple syrup and sugar, I love the combination of both but you can just use one or the other (but keep the same amount of sweeteners, so if you are only using maple syrup use 6 Tbsp for example).

Pumpkin Butter Ingredients: 

1 Can pumpkin puree 

½ Cup apple cider

3 Tbsp brown sugar

3 Tbsp maple syrup

1 Tsp vanilla extract

1 Tsp cinnamon

½ Tsp ginger

2 Tsp pumpkin pie spice

Directions

Place all the ingredients, except for the vanilla extract in an Instant Pot. Mix so everything is incorporated.

Place the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. Manually release the steam and remove the lid.

Mix in the vanilla extract and transfer to a jar. Let cool completely before serving.
