DIY Mud Cloth Inspired Easter Eggs Steps

1. First, I spent a little time looking at images online of mud cloth. I searched mud cloth on Pinterest and Google Image Search for some inspiration. Then I practiced some patterns on paper before I dove in.

2. Get drawing! I used white acrylic paint on my chalkboard eggs, but in retrospect, I would prefer to use a paint pen the next time. You get cleaner lines with a marker. For the white eggs, I used a standard black Sharpie marker and it worked like a charm.

Love these! I just recently discovered your blog, ladies, and I am loving following all your posts.

  2. I love these patterns you came up with. Our NDN friends decorated clay pots like this. Tiles would be great decorated like this. Could be used anywhere.
I love to craft and repurpose.
    Keep up the good work!
