Baked apple cider goodness, topped with cinnamon sugar blend. They are so yummy.
You could also drizzle a light maple icing if you want them to be sweeter. Just mix some maple syrup with powdered sugar and milk to make it and then drizzle it on top.
The Best Apple Cider Donuts Recipe
Ingredients:
⅓ Cup butter, melted
3 Eggs
1 Cup sugar
¼ Cup brown sugar
1 Cup applesauce
½ Cup apple cider
1 Tsp vanilla extract
1 Tsp cinnamon
2 Tsp baking powder
2 Cups flour
Coating:
1 Cup sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a donut pan and set aside.
In a bowl beat the eggs and white and brown sugar until fluffy.
Add melted butter, applesauce, apple cider, vanilla extract, cinnamon and baking powder and mix until smooth.
Slowly add the flour, mixing until everything is incorporated and the batter is shiny.
Pour batter into prepared donut pan and take to the oven. Bake for 28 minutes or until done.
While the doughnuts are baking prepare the coating, in a bowl combine sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
Remove doughnuts from oven and from pan. Dip in the cinnamon sugar while the are still hot and toss to combine.
