Wildflowers blooming in Crested Butte
This summer the wildflowers have been amazing in Crested Butte. We are known as the Wildflower Capital of Colorado… Alex took some classic summer shots of Calla in the mule’s ear sunflowers recently. There were fields, whole hillsides covered with them. Needless to say, it was pretty unbelievable. July has put on an epic show of colors… and August will be incredible, too. Here are some highlights of Crested Butte’s little beauties. From top to bottom is: scarlet gilia, indian paintbrush, columbine and lupine.
