Happy 10th Birthday Elephant & Piggie Books

Books have been such a special part of our kids’ lives. Our mom instilled in us a love for reading and books at a very young age. Reading to our kids everyday is such a bonding experience. Some of our kids’ favorite children’s books have been anything by Mo Willems. I mean, who doesn’t love Knuffle Bunny?! Our girls adore the Elephant & Piggie series as well. Poppy loves hearing the adventures of these adorable characters and Calla and Harper loved reading the series as early readers. We were exited when Disney-Hyperion reached out to work with us on celebrating the 10th birthday of the amazing Elephant & Piggie books. They sent us a darling party pack filled with all kinds of awesome Elephant & Piggie goodies. The girls went crazy!

Throwing your very own Elephant & Piggie party:
Decorations are always a fun part of a party. You can download some darling printables to add some Elephant & Piggie flair to the fete. Like lantern icons (or you could even add the face icons to balloons) to activity kit (coloring and activity pages).
Use the cute “10 years of fun” icon to make cupcake toppers or a garland!The girls helped decorate for the little party. Harper made the hanging lanterns and was so proud of her decor!

These books have been staples in our homes for our girls. We also had the opportunity to read the newest release in the Elephant and Piggie Like Reading! series, The Good for Nothing Button by Charise Mericle Harper. It is absolutely darling. And the girls loved having their very own “button”. Ha!

We love all the Elephant and Piggie books but if we had to pick one favorite, I’d have to go with Waiting is Not Easy!
I love children’s parties centred around books! I’ll have to check this series out
