10-minute DIY Tassel Necklace
Need a splash of color for your outfit? Look no further, try this 10-minute DIY tassel necklace! I wanted to add a pop of color to my “uniform” (I always seem to wear a dark top and jeans). I used a long simple gold necklace. All you need is embroidery floss, jewelry jump rings and an old necklace to make a tassel!

Supplies: Embroidery floss, jewelry jump rings , 4-inch piece of cardboard, tape, scissors
Instructions
Step 1: Tape a 5 inch piece of embroidery floss to top of cardboard. Next, wrap the floss around the cardboard 24 times.
Step 2: Remove the tape from top and tie a tight knot to top of floss.
Step 3: Cut the bottom of the floss to create the tassel.
Step 4: Take a 10 inch piece of floss and tie a know a half inch from top of tassel. Wrap the floss around 6-8 times. Tie a tight knot. Trim the ends. You can use another color floss for this step (gold would be pretty). You can also use a tiny bit of glue to make sure your knots stay tight! Trim the tassel ends.
Step 5: Open a jump ring (I used my fingers) and loop to top of tassel. Hook the jump ring to the necklace.
I made three tassels in turquoise shades. What I love about this necklace is I can wear all three together, or one with another charm….versatile and colorful! Each tassel took me under 10 minutes to make – serious! I cannot wait to make more.
Can’t wait to see what you create!
