DIY Valentine Wooden Bead Tassel Necklace
Calla, my five year old, and I were shopping the other day and she saw a Valentine necklace. Of course, she wanted it. I told her I had a better idea – let’s make one together. Kids love working with wooden beads, so this necklace is the perfect craft for kids this month. And the end result is such a cute, statement piece for Valentine’s Day that is a project kids and their parents can work on together – our favorite after-school activity!
Some of our favorite Valentine projects are our heart sugar cookies, felt hair ties and pink heart rice krispie treats!

Steps:
1. Paint each bead with your color of choice. We threaded our beads one inch apart on pipe cleaners to paint them. Stick the pipe cleaners in a cup to dry. After paint is dry, remove the beads from pipe cleaners.
2. Thread the beads onto your beading wire. At the center of your necklace, place your tassel on a jump ring. See the full tutorial for making tassels here.
3. Tie a tight double knot to finish off your necklace and place a dot of E6000 glue on it. Since it is a long necklace, you don’t need to take the time necessarily to put a clasp on it.
4. After the glue dries, place this necklace on and you are ready for Valentine’s Day!
