Fall Wellness Kick Off

Don't Forget About You on aliceandlois.compost by Melissa

Make wellness a priority. There, I said it. And I’ll say it again. Make wellness a priority. Since having kids, it seems like I have to repeat this to myself over and over. As mothers we put everyone else’s needs above our own.

This fall, now that school is back in session, it’s time to turn over a new leaf. Over the summer months, both Sara and I were on the go every day with our kids. We were consumed by their activities, keeping them active. But now it’s time to regain the focus on our own activities, the focus on keeping ourselves healthy too.

This is the perfect timing for us to try something new to kick off our Healthy Living Month here on alice & lois. We’re partnering with the folks at Jawbone to try out their UP24 fitness-tracking device.

Follow along with us on our journey to wellness. We’ll be sharing our goals and how we are integrating fitness and wellness into our everyday lives. We’ll be sharing healthy recipes, healthy habits and insights into living a healthy life.

We’re excited to cheer each other on while on this journey together. This little bracelet can track your activity, diet and sleep. Through the app, the program shows you how to make little adjustments to reach your goals. I’m already feeling accountable to myself as we kick off this Healthy Living Series.

It’s hard for us to put our own needs toward the top of the priority list. But we are committed to making healthier decisions, prioritizing fitness into our every day and encouraging each other. A little competitive spirit never hurts, right? Sara’s already asking me how many calories I burned today. But I love that. That’s exactly what I need.

Will you join us? Remember, don’t forget about you.

Thanks to Jawbone for sponsoring this post. As always, our opinions are solely our own. Thanks so much for supporting the brands who make this blog possible.
