Valentine Kid Craft Ideas
Our girls love crafting with us. This is something we have done for years. Our moms as a preschool teacher when we grew up, so it must have been instilled in us from a young age. This is Affordable and Easy Valentine’s Day Ideas for Kids and for the entire family!
Personalized Valentine’s for family – One thing that we love to do is make personalized Valentine’s Day cards with the kids. You can use simple art and crafting supplies like stickers, colorful paper, doilies, markers, watercolor paints and more.
Help them write sweet messages to their siblings, parents, or even grandparents. This not only adds a personal touch but also becomes a cherished keepsake for family.
Valentine Beaded Necklace – our girls love making this painted beaded necklace. You can really get creative with this craft project. Little hands love this project too.
Valentine Door Drop Heart – this is such a fun idea. Make a large heart envelope from poster board and fill with candy and treats. Fun way to leave some treats for neighbors.

Valentine Tic Tac Toe board – now this is a fun activity. You can make your very own tic tac toe board from things you probably have around the house! The kids will love it!
Valentine Twister – you can use your Twister board and change out hte red dots for red hearts! A simple way to celebrate love.
Valentine Scavenger Hunt – Make a scavenger hunt in your house on Feb 14! You can write clues to find hidden hearts (that you cut out from colored paper) around the house!
Valentine’s Day Snacks (and treats) for Kids
Heart-Shaped Sandwiches – Create simple little sandwiches using heart-shaped cookie cutters to add a Valentine’s touch. You can make nutella filled sandwiches, PB&J or just jam. Any sandwich will work. We love these heart shaped cookie cutters.
Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls – it doesn’t get any easier than this! Use a tube of cinnamon rolls and unwind to make a heart shape. Bake in a round cake pan. Too cute!
Heart Sugar Cookies – we adore these cookies! We make them every year for Valentine’s Day. Soft and buttery with homemade icing.
Love Bugs Fruit Kabobs- A healthier spin on a snack or treat for a sweet holiday. Simply thread strawberries, grapes, and melon balls, etc onto skewers to create adorable love bug fruit kabobs. Add candy googly eyes using a touch of cream cheese.
Valentine’s Day Popcorn – Make popcorn (we are loving this air pop maker) and drizzle it with melted white and pink candy melts. Add heart-shaped and pink and red sprinkles for a Valentine’s twist. So easy!
Heart Hand Pies – These Valentine treats are so fun to make. You can use pre made pie dough and filling of your choice (strawberry jam, cherry pie filling, blueberry jam and more!).
Heart Shaped Rice Krispie Treats – This is a favorite treat to make for Valentine’s Day. Make a batch of rice krispie treats and add pink food coloring. Add some heart shaped and red sprinkles to the mix. Place in pan and then use a heart shape cookie cutter to get the darling heart shape.
Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries- Dip strawberries in melted chocolate and let them cool. Add heart shape, red and pink sprinkles or mini chocolate chips. The kids will love these.
Heart-Shaped Pizza -Make heart-shaped pizzas using pizza dough. Let the kids personalize their pizzas with various toppings. You can make mini pizzas too!
Watermelon Hearts – Another simple and healthy idea for the health conscious mamas! Cut a heart shape in watermelon and pop on a popsicle stick!

Valentine Egg in the Hole Breakfast – Our kids absolutely love this special breakfast. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter to make a cut out in middle of slice of bread. Place in pan, and drop egg into the heart shape.
